Crypto-Börse (crypto-boerse.com) Scam Warning: FINMA and FMA Flag the Platform

Investors dealing with Crypto-Börse at crypto-boerse.com now have warnings from financial authorities in both Switzerland and Austria to consider. Austria’s Financial Market Authority warned about the platform in August 2026, followed by an entry on the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority warning list in September.

The regulatory findings raise serious concerns about the operation behind the website. Austria’s FMA states that Crypto-Börse is not authorised to provide investment services in Austria that require a licence, while Switzerland’s FINMA records the operation as not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register. FINMA also makes an important distinction: Crypto-Börse and crypto-boerse.com are not connected with the legitimate Swiss company Crypto Strategy GmbH in Leuk.

Based on these regulatory findings concerning the exact domain, AssetVault Recovery considers crypto-boerse.com a scam website that investors should avoid. Anyone who has already transferred money or cryptocurrency should stop making additional payments until the circumstances have been independently reviewed.

FINMA and Austria’s FMA Warn About Crypto-Börse (crypto-boerse.com)

On 25 August 2026, the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) published a warning concerning Crypto-Börse and identified the exact website as https://crypto-boerse.com.

The Austrian regulator also recorded three email addresses associated with the operation:

  • support@crypto-boerse.com
  • privacy@crypto-boerse.com
  • dpo@crypto-boerse.com

According to the FMA, the provider apparently presented offices in Vienna, Berlin and Zurich. The authority states that Crypto-Börse is not authorised to conduct investment services in Austria requiring a licence and therefore is not permitted to provide portfolio management pursuant to Article 3 para. 2 no. 2 of the Austrian Securities Supervision Act 2018.

One month later, on 24 September 2026, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) added Crypto-Börse / crypto-boerse.com to its warning list.

FINMA records Zürich / Leuk as the address associated with the operation and states that Crypto-Börse is not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register.

The Swiss warning contains another particularly important clarification: Crypto-Börse / crypto-boerse.com is not related to Crypto Strategy GmbH, Leuk, which is registered in the Swiss Commercial Register under CHE-382.433.944.

This distinction protects investors from drawing the wrong conclusion when conducting their own checks. Finding a genuine registered company with a similar geographic or corporate association does not establish that an investment website actually belongs to that company.

It is therefore important to verify the exact domain, legal entity and regulatory status rather than relying on a company name, address or registration information displayed by a website. Similar concerns arise when investment operations appear to rely on the identity of legitimate businesses, as discussed in our Avaleap investigation and Corpholding investigation.

Do Not Confuse Crypto-Börse With Crypto Strategy GmbH

FINMA’s clarification deserves particular attention because it separates the warned website from a legitimate Swiss registered company.

Crypto Strategy GmbH, Leuk is not related to Crypto-Börse or crypto-boerse.com. The legitimate company’s Swiss registration number is CHE-382.433.944, and nothing in FINMA’s warning establishes wrongdoing by Crypto Strategy GmbH.

Anyone researching crypto-boerse.com should therefore not use the existence or registration of Crypto Strategy GmbH as evidence that the website is legitimate, authorised or operated by that company.

Company impersonation and the misuse of corporate information can make fraudulent investment operations appear credible. Investors may be shown registration documents, addresses, company numbers or names that can be independently found online. The crucial question is whether those records actually belong to the people operating the website in question.

This is also why regulator databases should be checked independently. Our investigations into SCJP Ltd and COELC similarly demonstrate the importance of checking what financial authorities themselves have published rather than relying exclusively on information presented by an investment platform.

What the Regulatory Findings Mean for Investors

The warnings from Austria and Switzerland address different aspects of the same operation.

The Austrian FMA has established that the provider identified as Crypto-Börse is not authorised to conduct investment services in Austria that require a licence. FINMA, meanwhile, has placed the exact domain on its warning list, recorded that Crypto-Börse has no Swiss Commercial Register entry, and expressly separated it from the legitimate Crypto Strategy GmbH.

For investors, the important point is straightforward: crypto-boerse.com should not be treated as a legitimate regulated investment platform.

A professional-looking website, account dashboard or apparent investment balance does not override those regulatory findings. Neither does the use of addresses in recognised financial centres such as Vienna, Berlin or Zurich.

Investors should independently verify claims of regulation before transferring money. The same principle applies to platforms claiming association with established companies, financial professionals or registered businesses. The Compass / Yielova investigation provides another example of why the identity and regulatory status behind an online investment operation require careful verification.

Already Sent Money to crypto-boerse.com? Protect the Transaction Evidence

If you have already deposited money or cryptocurrency through Crypto-Börse, the priority should be preserving evidence and avoiding further losses.

Do not rely solely on the balance displayed inside a Crypto-Börse account. A dashboard may show deposits, trading profits or cryptocurrency holdings, but the more useful evidence is the actual movement of funds.

For cryptocurrency payments, preserve:

  • wallet addresses used to receive your funds;
  • transaction hashes or TXIDs;
  • the blockchain network used for each transfer;
  • the amount and date of each transaction;
  • exchange withdrawal records; and
  • records from the wallet from which cryptocurrency was sent.

For bank payments, retain the beneficiary name, account number or IBAN, receiving bank, SWIFT/BIC information, payment reference and transfer receipt.

Also preserve account screenshots, emails, telephone numbers, WhatsApp or Telegram conversations, contracts, withdrawal requests and any payment instructions supplied by representatives of the platform.

If you are subsequently told that money cannot be withdrawn until another payment is made, exercise particular caution. Demands described as withdrawal fees, taxes, AML charges, wallet verification fees, security deposits, insurance charges, account upgrades or blockchain release fees should not be paid simply because a platform claims they are required.

Sending another payment does not establish that the displayed balance is real or that a withdrawal will follow. Preserve the demand itself as evidence, including the wallet address or bank account to which the additional payment is requested.

Victims should also be cautious if an unfamiliar recovery company, investigator or supposed authority later makes unsolicited contact claiming that the money has already been located. People who have lost funds through investment fraud can be targeted again by parties demanding advance payments for supposed recovery, release or legal procedures.

AssetVault Recovery Assessment

The regulatory record concerning crypto-boerse.com supports a clear conclusion.

AssetVault Recovery considers Crypto-Börse / crypto-boerse.com a scam website and advises investors not to send money or cryptocurrency to it.

Austria’s FMA has identified the exact domain and states that the provider lacks the required authorisation for regulated investment services in Austria. FINMA has separately added the same domain to its warning list, recorded that Crypto-Börse is not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register, and explicitly stated that it has no connection with the legitimate Crypto Strategy GmbH in Leuk.

Anyone who has already transferred assets should concentrate on preserving the transaction trail and communications. Those records can be considerably more useful for tracing what happened to funds than balances or profits displayed inside an online trading account.
