Crypto-Börse (crypto-boerse.com): FMA Warns Against Its Offerings
Crypto-Börse, operating through crypto-boerse.com, has been named in an official warning from the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). The regulator states that the provider is not authorised to conduct investment services in Austria that require a licence and, specifically, is not permitted to provide portfolio management.
The warning was released on 25 August 2026. For anyone who has already transferred money or cryptocurrency after dealing with Crypto-Börse, the important question is now what happened to the actual funds not what balance, investment performance or portfolio value may have appeared on crypto-boerse.com.
Based on the exact-domain regulatory warning and the unauthorised investment activity identified by the regulator, AssetVault Recovery considers Crypto-Börse / crypto-boerse.com a scam operation. Consumers should stop further transfers and preserve the complete transaction and communication trail.
No upfront recovery fees. Fees are payable only after a successful recovery.
FMA Says Crypto-Börse Is Not Authorised for Portfolio Management
The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) identifies the following details:
- Name: Crypto-Börse
- Website: crypto-boerse.com
- Emails: support@crypto-boerse.com, privacy@crypto-boerse.com and dpo@crypto-boerse.com
- Apparent registered offices: Vienna, Berlin and Zurich
The FMA states that Crypto-Börse is not authorised to conduct investment services in Austria that require a licence. In particular, the provider is not permitted to offer portfolio management pursuant to Article 3(2)(2) of Austria’s Securities Supervision Act 2018 (WAG 2018).
The warning was published pursuant to Article 92(11) WAG 2018.
The locations also need to be read according to the regulator’s wording. The FMA describes the registered offices as apparently being in Vienna, Berlin and Zurich. AssetVault does not therefore present those addresses as independently verified corporate locations.
For an investor, the central issue is much more immediate: the exact domain crypto-boerse.com has been identified by the regulator in connection with investment services that the provider is not authorised to conduct in Austria.
Already Invested Through crypto-boerse.com?
If you have already transferred funds after dealing with Crypto-Börse, preserve the evidence before sending anything further.
Important records include:
- bank statements and transfer confirmations;
- beneficiary names, account numbers and IBANs;
- receiving-bank information;
- cryptocurrency transaction hashes (TXIDs);
- sending and receiving wallet addresses;
- the cryptocurrency and blockchain network used;
- exchange deposit and withdrawal records;
- portfolio statements or investment reports;
- screenshots showing account balances and purported returns;
- deposit and transaction histories;
- withdrawal requests and responses;
- emails involving crypto-boerse.com addresses;
- WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or other messages;
- telephone numbers and names used by representatives; and
- contracts, invoices and payment instructions.
If several payments were made, reconstruct them chronologically. Record the date, amount, payment method and destination of every transfer and match it with the communication that prompted the payment.
This becomes particularly important where different bank beneficiaries or cryptocurrency wallets were supplied over time.
AssetVault has highlighted the importance of independently verifiable transaction evidence in other regulator-listed cases, including Cryptex Markets and Doronzo AG.
A Portfolio Balance Is Not the Same as the Payment Trail
Because the regulatory warning specifically concerns portfolio management, anyone reviewing a Crypto-Börse case should distinguish between the portfolio supposedly shown to the investor and the actual destination of the investor’s money.
An online dashboard might display assets, trades, investment returns or an increasing portfolio value. Those figures do not independently establish that the underlying securities, cryptocurrency or other assets were genuinely acquired and held for the customer.
The starting point for a financial review should therefore be the transactions that can be verified outside the platform.
If money was sent by bank transfer, beneficiary and receiving-bank information can establish where the funds initially went. If cryptocurrency was transferred, blockchain records can establish the receiving address, transaction amount, asset, network and subsequent on-chain movements.
Preserve any portfolio reports as evidence of what was represented to you, but do not treat the displayed value as proof that equivalent recoverable assets actually exist.
This distinction between platform representations and the underlying financial trail is also relevant to investigations such as Cronetrium System, where independently checking the operation behind an investment proposition is critical.
Withdrawal Problems and Further Payment Demands
If you are attempting to withdraw money from Crypto-Börse and have been asked to send additional funds first, preserve the entire request before taking further action.
The FMA warning does not state that Crypto-Börse has demanded specific withdrawal fees, taxes or release payments from customers. AssetVault therefore does not attribute any particular further-payment scheme to the platform without evidence from an individual case.
However, someone who has already transferred substantial funds should not assume that another payment will make an existing portfolio balance withdrawable.
Requests described as tax, insurance, verification, AML charges, withdrawal costs, security deposits, blockchain fees or account-release payments should be independently assessed before more money is transferred.
If such a request has already been made, preserve:
- the complete message requesting payment;
- the amount requested;
- the reason given for the payment;
- the bank beneficiary or cryptocurrency wallet supplied;
- the identity used by the person making the demand; and
- any statement about what would supposedly happen after payment.
If multiple additional payments have already been made, do not discard earlier requests simply because a newer demand has replaced them. Together they can help reconstruct the sequence of events and the destinations used to receive funds.
What Matters When Tracing Cryptocurrency
The Crypto-Börse name makes cryptocurrency records particularly important if digital assets were used in an individual case. However, the FMA warning itself concerns unauthorised investment services and portfolio management; it should not be rewritten as a different regulatory finding simply because the provider uses “Crypto” in its name.
If you purchased cryptocurrency through a legitimate exchange and were then instructed to transfer it elsewhere, preserve both sides of that transaction. Keep the exchange withdrawal record as well as the blockchain TXID and destination wallet.
A TXID can provide independently verifiable evidence that a cryptocurrency transfer occurred and identify the addresses involved. Subsequent blockchain activity may provide additional information about how funds moved after reaching the receiving address.
Blockchain tracing does not itself guarantee that funds can be recovered. It can, however, provide a much stronger factual basis for investigating the movement of cryptocurrency than screenshots of an account balance.
AssetVault has examined comparable evidence issues in cases involving digital assets, including its Delio investigation.
AssetVault Recovery Assessment
The regulatory evidence concerning Crypto-Börse is direct. The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) specifically identifies Crypto-Börse and crypto-boerse.com.
The FMA states that the provider is not authorised to conduct investment services in Austria that require a licence and specifically says it is not permitted to provide portfolio management.
Based on this exact-domain regulatory evidence, AssetVault Recovery considers Crypto-Börse / crypto-boerse.com a scam operation and advises consumers not to send additional funds.
If money or cryptocurrency has already been transferred, the priority should be preserving the actual financial trail: bank beneficiaries, statements, TXIDs, wallet addresses, exchange records, portfolio documents, communications and withdrawal correspondence.
Consumers should also be cautious if another organisation subsequently claims that funds connected with Crypto-Börse have already been recovered and can be released after an advance payment. AssetVault’s Crypto AMF email scam alert illustrates why subsequent approaches involving supposed financial authorities or recovered funds should always be independently verified.
