Binomo Crypto (binomocrypto.com): AFM Warns of Suspected Boiler Room
Anyone considering depositing money with Binomo Crypto (binomocrypto.com) now has an important regulatory warning to consider.
On 13 August 2026, the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) warned consumers not to accept offers from Binomo Crypto. The regulator says it suspects the operation of being a boiler room — a form of online investment fraud.
The warning deserves particular attention because Binomo Crypto presents itself online as a trading platform offering access to currencies, commodities, stocks and cryptocurrencies. Its website also makes corporate and regulatory claims involving a UK company called SP001 Limited.
AssetVault Recovery’s review of the official UK corporate record uncovered an important discrepancy investors should understand: SP001 LTD, company number 11797023, was dissolved on 13 August 2024 — exactly two years before the AFM published its Binomo Crypto warning.
What the AFM Reports About Binomo Crypto
The official Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) warning identifies:
- Name: Binomo Crypto
- Address: 26 Cheering Lane, Suite 401, Stratford, London, UK
- Email: support@pocketoption.com
- Domain: binomocrypto.com
- Warning date: 13 August 2026
The AFM does not merely describe Binomo Crypto as an investment business carrying ordinary trading risks. It specifically says the company is suspected of being a boiler room and advises consumers not to accept its offers.
A boiler-room warning is serious because these operations are associated with investment solicitation in which consumers can be persuaded to transfer money toward supposed investments that may ultimately prove difficult or impossible to recover.
Binomo Crypto’s Own Website Raises Another Question
Our investigation did not stop at the regulatory warning.
The Binomo Crypto website states that its brokerage activity is provided by SP001 Limited and displays UK company number 11797023. It also associates that company with the same 26 Cheering Lane address appearing in the AFM warning.
More importantly, the website describes SP001 Limited as being “regulated by UK Company House.”
Investors need to understand what that statement does — and does not — establish.
UK Companies House maintains the corporate register. Registration of a limited company does not, by itself, constitute financial-services authorisation or a licence to provide regulated brokerage services.
The distinction is critical because corporate registration can sound like regulatory approval when presented alongside terms such as “regulated” or “licence.”
The SP001 LTD Corporate Record Shows the Company Is Dissolved
The official UK Companies House record for SP001 LTD confirms that company number 11797023 did exist.
However, its current status is:
Dissolved.
The official record states that SP001 LTD was incorporated on 30 January 2019 and dissolved on 13 August 2024.
Its recorded nature of business was:
62090 — Other information technology service activities.
The filing history provides additional context. On 20 May 2024, an application was filed to strike the company off the register. A first Gazette notice followed on 28 May 2024, and the final Gazette entry records the company as dissolved through voluntary strike-off on 13 August 2024.
This creates a significant due-diligence issue for anyone encountering Binomo Crypto today.
The website currently states that SP001 Limited provides its brokerage activity and presents company number 11797023 as part of its credibility claims. Yet the official Companies House record shows that the company associated with that exact number has not been an active UK company since August 2024.
The Address Has Also Changed in the Official Record
There is another detail worth examining.
The AFM warning and the Binomo Crypto website both reference:
26 Cheering Lane, Suite 401, Stratford, London, E20 1BD.
However, the official Companies House filing history shows that SP001 LTD changed its registered office from that address on 2 January 2023.
The replacement registered address was:
548-550 Elder House, Elder Gate, Office 202, Milton Keynes, MK9 1LR.
This does not independently establish wrongdoing, but it is a material discrepancy investors should know about when evaluating the corporate information displayed by the trading website.
Corporate Registration Is Not Financial Authorisation
This distinction is one of the most important lessons in the Binomo Crypto investigation.
A company number can be genuine while the impression created around that number is misleading or incomplete.
Finding a business on Companies House confirms corporate registration information. It should not be interpreted as evidence that Companies House has authorised the company to provide regulated financial services.
Investors evaluating a broker or investment platform should therefore ask a different question: which financial regulator authorises the investment activity being offered?
In the case of Binomo Crypto, that question becomes particularly important because the AFM has now issued a direct warning advising consumers not to accept its offers.
If You Have Already Sent Money to Binomo Crypto
For investors who have already transferred money through binomocrypto.com, the priority should now be to preserve evidence and avoid making additional payments without independent verification.
The warning from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) states that Binomo Crypto is suspected of being a boiler room. That changes the way any withdrawal problem or payment demand should be assessed.
If an investor is told that money cannot be released until another fee is paid, that demand should not be accepted automatically.
Be Careful With Withdrawal Fees and “Release” Payments
Common explanations used around delayed withdrawals can include taxes, compliance fees, wallet activation payments, insurance charges, verification fees or other supposed administrative costs.
These demands can be persuasive when an account dashboard shows a large balance. An investor may think that paying one final amount is reasonable if it appears necessary to access a much larger sum.
But the key question is whether the displayed balance can be independently verified.
If the only evidence of the supposed profit is a number shown inside the platform itself, sending another payment can increase the investor’s actual financial exposure rather than unlock genuine funds.
Anyone dealing with binomocrypto.com should therefore review the official AFM warning before making another transfer.
Preserve the Full Payment Trail
If money has already been transferred, investors should keep a complete record of how each payment was made.
Useful evidence includes:
- Bank transfer confirmations
- Beneficiary names and account details
- Cryptocurrency wallet addresses
- Transaction hashes
- Exchange receipts
- Emails and messages containing payment instructions
- Screenshots of the trading account
- Withdrawal requests and responses
This information can help establish where funds moved and whether identifiable banks, payment processors or cryptocurrency services were involved.
Cryptocurrency Transactions Can Still Leave Evidence
If cryptocurrency was used, the transaction trail may still be visible on the relevant blockchain.
A blockchain transaction can preserve the sending address, receiving address, amount and transaction time. Further analysis may help establish whether funds moved through additional wallets or reached an identifiable exchange or service.
This does not guarantee recovery, but it can provide a clearer picture of where digital assets travelled after leaving the investor’s wallet.
Investors should preserve every transaction hash and wallet address connected with the payments rather than relying only on screenshots of the account dashboard.
The SP001 LTD Discrepancy Should Not Be Ignored
One of the most important findings in this investigation is the corporate information linked to Binomo Crypto.
The website associates its brokerage activity with SP001 Limited, company number 11797023. However, the official UK Companies House record shows that SP001 LTD was dissolved on 13 August 2024.
That means investors should be cautious about relying on the company number or references to Companies House as evidence that the current trading operation is authorised or actively regulated.
Corporate registration and financial-services authorisation are separate matters.
