BG Wealth, DSJ Exchange and HQI Exchange: Multi-State Crypto Scam Warnings
AssetVault has completely rebuilt this investigation around the actual regulatory case that prompted the original article.
BG Wealth Sharing Ltd, DSJ Exchange PTY Ltd and the later HQI Exchange operation have been the subject of multiple U.S. state regulatory warnings and enforcement actions.
The strongest finding comes from the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI), which states that BG Wealth and DSJ Exchange operated a widespread cryptocurrency scam using a multi-level marketing structure.
According to the Washington DFI, investors were shown fictitious profits inside DSJ Exchange accounts and were told they could earn guaranteed returns of up to 60% per month. The regulator also identified HQI Exchange as a successor operation connected with the scheme.
This is considerably stronger evidence than a generic warning about cryptocurrency investment scams.

Regulators Describe a Coordinated Cryptocurrency Scam
The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) entered a Summary Order and Statement of Charges against BG Wealth Sharing Ltd and DSJ Exchange PTY Ltd on 26 May 2026.
Its allegations are unusually detailed.
The Washington DFI says that from approximately mid-2025 through May 2026, the companies operated a cryptocurrency scam using a multi-level marketing structure to recruit new investors.
Investors believed BG Wealth was conducting Bitcoin-related trades through their DSJ Exchange accounts.
According to the regulator:
- Investors were told they could earn guaranteed returns of approximately 60% per month.
- DSJ Exchange accounts displayed substantial supposed trading profits.
- The profits shown to investors were fictitious.
- Recruitment incentives were used to encourage existing participants to introduce new investors.
- A successor operation using the name HQI Exchange later appeared.
The Washington DFI subsequently warned BG Wealth victims about HQIEX requests for payments purportedly required to open accounts on a replacement platform where earlier funds would supposedly be transferred.
The regulatory action did not remain limited to Washington.
The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs issued a preliminary cease-and-desist order involving BG Wealth Sharing Ltd after allegations that investments were solicited from Hawaii residents through the DSJ Exchange platform.
The Utah Division of Securities also warned investors about BG Wealth and DSJ Exchange. The regulator specifically noted that filings such as a Form ADV or Form D should not be mistaken for proof that the operation was registered or approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Texas State Securities Board issued an emergency cease-and-desist order involving BG Wealth Sharing Ltd, DSJ Exchange PTY Ltd and associated parties on 3 June 2026.
Taken together, these actions establish a multi-state regulatory record rather than a collection of anonymous online complaints.
The Role of DSJ Exchange and HQI Exchange
DSJ Exchange was not simply mentioned in passing.
The Washington DFI describes it as the platform through which investors believed cryptocurrency trading was taking place.
That distinction is important for victims because a trading interface can show balances, trades and profits without proving that genuine market transactions occurred.
The regulator states that the profits shown in investors’ DSJ Exchange accounts were fictitious.
HQI Exchange appeared later.
The Washington DFI warned that people associated with the BG Wealth operation were conducting a successor scam using HQI Exchange/HQIEX. Victims were reportedly asked for additional payments to join the new platform and were told that funds from their earlier BG Wealth accounts would be transferred there.
Anyone affected should therefore be cautious about claims that changing platforms will restore access to previous balances.
A new website, app or dashboard does not establish that previously transferred money has been recovered.
If You Already Sent Money
If you transferred cryptocurrency or bank funds through BG Wealth, DSJ Exchange or HQI Exchange, preserve the evidence showing where the real money moved.
Keep:
- Cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transaction hashes or TXIDs.
- The blockchain network used for each transfer.
- Exchange withdrawal and deposit records.
- Bank statements and beneficiary details.
- Screenshots of DSJ Exchange, HQI Exchange or other account dashboards.
- Telegram, Bonchat, WhatsApp or other communications.
- Names and usernames used by people promoting the investment.
- Withdrawal requests and responses.
- Referral or recruitment records.
- Any request for additional money to transfer, unlock or recover an earlier account balance.
Do not assume that a displayed profit represents actual cryptocurrency or cash.
The Washington DFI specifically alleges that the profits shown in DSJ Exchange accounts were fictitious.
That makes the underlying transaction trail far more important than the account screen.
If you are being asked to make another payment through HQI Exchange or another replacement platform, preserve the demand before sending anything further.
AssetVault has addressed the same transaction-first principle in its reporting on FinCEN’s findings concerning digital-asset investment scams and other regulator-backed investigations.
AssetVault Assessment
The evidence concerning BG Wealth Sharing Ltd and DSJ Exchange is unusually strong.
The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) expressly describes their operation as a widespread cryptocurrency scam and states that investors were shown fictitious profits.
The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Texas State Securities Board also took enforcement action involving BG Wealth, while the Utah Division of Securities publicly warned investors about the operation.
The Washington DFI also identifies HQI Exchange/HQIEX as a successor scam targeting earlier BG Wealth victims.
Based on these regulatory findings, AssetVault considers BG Wealth Sharing, DSJ Exchange and the reported HQI successor operation part of a serious cryptocurrency fraud scheme.
Anyone affected should stop further transfers and preserve the complete transaction and communication trail.
