Engel Asset / engelasset.com: FINMA Says Website Is Not the Genuine Swiss Company
A genuine Swiss company can exist under a familiar financial name while an unrelated website presents investors with something entirely different.
That distinction is at the centre of engelasset.com.
Switzerland’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has placed the domain on its public warning list and made an especially important clarification:
engelasset.com is not related to Engel Asset Allocation AG in Zug, a genuine company registered in the Swiss Commercial Register under CHE-443.163.204.
For investors, this means finding a legitimate company called Engel Asset Allocation AG does not authenticate engelasset.com.
The exact website must be treated separately.

What FINMA Actually Says About engelasset.com
The Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) published the warning on 22 October 2026.
The regulator records:
- Name: engelasset.com
- Website: www.engelasset.com
- Address: Talacker 26, Zürich
- Commercial Register: not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register
But the most important part of the warning appears in the regulator’s remarks.
FINMA expressly states that engelasset.com has no connection with Engel Asset Allocation AG, Zug, which is registered in the Swiss Commercial Register under CHE-443.163.204.
That is not a minor difference in spelling or registration details.
It is a direct regulatory separation between the warned domain and a genuine Swiss company.
Why the Genuine Company Matters
A person researching an investment business may search the company name before transferring money.
If the search produces a genuine Swiss registration, that result can create considerable confidence.
But a legitimate registration proves only that the registered company exists.
It does not prove that a particular website, email address, representative or payment destination actually belongs to that company.
This distinction has become increasingly important in online investment fraud.
AssetVault documented the same problem in its investigation of Persius AG, where FINMA similarly distinguished a warned website from a genuine Swiss company whose identity appeared to support the platform’s credibility.
A comparable identity problem appeared in the Swiss Investment Company SA investigation, where genuine corporate registration information did not authenticate the website approaching investors.
Do Not Confuse Engel Asset Allocation AG With engelasset.com
This distinction deserves to be explicit.
The genuine Engel Asset Allocation AG in Zug, registered under CHE-443.163.204, is not the entity that FINMAidentifies through the warned domain.
The regulator says engelasset.com is not related to that company.
AssetVault therefore does not attribute activity conducted through engelasset.com to the legitimate Engel Asset Allocation AG or its genuine representatives.
Anyone researching the website should also be careful not to assume that a person communicating through the domain represents the registered Zug company merely because similar corporate details are mentioned.
The exact connection between a domain and the genuine legal entity must be independently established.
A Zürich Address Does Not Resolve the Identity Problem
The warning lists:
Talacker 26, Zürich
A Swiss financial address can naturally appear reassuring, particularly to an investor outside Switzerland.
But the address does not change the regulatory finding.
FINMA records the warned operation as not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register and separately states that it is not connected to the registered Engel Asset Allocation AG in Zug.
Those two facts should be considered together.
The presence of a Swiss address cannot establish a relationship that the regulator expressly says does not exist.
Corporate Identity Misuse Changes the Verification Process
Cases involving a real company identity require more careful due diligence than completely fictitious investment brands.
A fabricated company may disappear when someone searches official records.
An impersonation-style operation can produce the opposite result.
The investor searches the name.
A genuine company appears.
The registration number is real.
The country and industry appear consistent.
That apparent confirmation can make the website seem safer rather than more suspicious.
This is why verification should include the exact domain, not simply the company name.
AssetVault has examined the same problem outside Switzerland in its investigation of Frequency Ventures, where the regulator identified an investment website in connection with the impersonation of a genuine company.
If You Have Already Sent Money
If you have already transferred money after dealing with engelasset.com, preserve the evidence showing:
- Where the money was actually sent
- The account or wallet that received it
- Communications with the individuals involved
- Any statements made about Engel Asset Allocation AG
- Any withdrawal requests and subsequent payment demands
Do not send additional money simply because someone claims that another fee, tax or deposit is required before existing funds can be released.
Most importantly, do not assume that a payment went to the genuine Engel Asset Allocation AG merely because that company’s name or registration details were presented to you.
The receiving account, wallet and transaction trail need to be independently examined.
AssetVault Assessment
The central issue with engelasset.com is unusually clear because FINMA has already addressed the identity question.
The regulator:
- Identifies the exact domain engelasset.com
- Records the operation as not entered in the Swiss Commercial Register
- Lists an address at Talacker 26, Zürich
- States that the website is not related to Engel Asset Allocation AG, Zug, CHE-443.163.204
Based on those official findings, AssetVault considers engelasset.com a high-risk website involving apparent misuse or confusion with the identity of a genuine Swiss company.
The legitimate Engel Asset Allocation AG should not be blamed for or confused with activity carried out through the warned domain unless independent evidence establishes an actual connection.
